    Jeanne-Florentine Bourgeois, the daughter of a laborer and a seamstress, was born on April 5, 1875, in Enghien-les-Bains.

    Adopting the stage name Miss Helyett, she debuted at the age of 10, later changing her alias to Miss Tinguette and eventually Mistinguett.

    Early Career and Breakthrough

    In 1894, Mistinguett made her debut at the Trianon theater in Paris and gained recognition at the Eldorado cabaret in 1897 for her comedic performances featuring epileptic-like movements and expressive facial expressions.

    She debuted in cinema in 1909 and starred in over 50 films, including "Les Misérables" (1912).
