    Serge Lemoyne (June 13, 1941 – July 12, 1998) was a Canadian artist from Quebec.

    He worked as a performance artist as well as creating paintings, assemblages and prints. Lemoyne explored themes such as the environment, technology, and social justice. Lemoyne's work was exhibited in Canada and internationally, and he received numerous awards throughout his career.

    Work

    Lemoyne studied at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal from 1958 to 1960. He cited as early influences Les Automatistes and the Plasticiens.

    Lemoyne had a collaborative approach to making art, seeking active engagement between artwork, audience and the artist.

    He helped found L'Horloge du Nouvel-Age in 1964 with Claude Péloquin, Yves Héber
